By downloading, installing, or using the DOSE application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

DOSE is a digital wellness application that helps users voluntarily limit their access to selected applications on their device for a specified duration. The App uses Apple's Screen Time APIs to temporarily restrict access to apps chosen by the user.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use DOSE. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. User Accounts

To use certain features of the App, you may need to create an account using Apple Sign In or Google Sign In. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use DOSE only for its intended purpose of personal digital wellness. You agree not to:

  • Use the App to restrict access on devices you do not own or have permission to manage
  • Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the App's functionality
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Share your account credentials with others

6. Screen Time Permissions

DOSE requires Screen Time permissions to function. By granting these permissions, you understand that:

  • The App will be able to restrict access to applications you select
  • Restrictions are voluntary and initiated by you
  • You can end a session early through the App (which will be recorded)
  • The App operates within Apple's Screen Time framework

7. Intellectual Property

The DOSE application, including its design, features, and content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

DOSE is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • The App will meet your specific requirements
  • The App will help you achieve any particular outcome

DOSE is a tool to support your digital wellness goals, but results depend on your personal commitment and usage.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data or productivity
  • Inability to access certain applications during a session
  • Any impact on your personal or professional activities

10. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by other means. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
